Guidance and Support

Career and Study Guidance

Every Perth College UHI student has access to guidance services while they study, regardless of whether they are full-time, part-time or learning at a distance.

The Student Services Team works in close conjunction with teaching staff to ensure that there is a joint approach to providing students with both academic guidance and guidance services related to personal support and development.

We can offer Perth College UHI students information, advice and guidance on:

  • Career choice and planning
  • Options for further study
  • Applying to universities
  • Moving into employment
  • Writing a CV
  • Completing application forms
  • Techniques for interviews

Everyday Support

During your time at College, you may find that you need help and support with issues in your personal life that could have a negative impact on your studies.

Whether you feel you require counselling or more informal personal support, our Guidance and Counselling Adviser is here to help you. No problem is too big or too small.

Our students rely on our guidance and support for a number of issues including:

  • family and relationship problems
  • anxiety
  • self-confidence
  • depression
  • friendships
  • grief and loss

We encourage our students to contact us as soon as they have a query or think they could have a problem.

You don't have to worry in silence, as we may be able to help prevent a problem becoming a crisis!
