Deborah joined the CMS Team in 2010 as the Clim-ATIC Climate Change Communicator.
Clim-ATIC
Clim-ATIC is a multi-national (Finland, Greenland, Norway, Scotland and Sweden) EU funded project exploring the potential for communities within the Northern Periphery to; 1) develop their adaptive capacity to climate change; 2) deliver real adaptations that provide local economic and social advantages.
Role as Climate Change Communicator
To extract, record and evaluate project lessons from Clim-ATIC work-packages 2, 3 and 4.
These work-packages cover the identification of local and regional climate change impacts, potential community adaptation opportunities and the development of demonstration projects aimed at reducing the impacts of climate change and realizing any potential opportunities.
Aims and Outputs
- A series of posters and other communication materials for the final project conference in Flora, Norway on 26-28th October 2010
- 30 case studies reports concerning the lessons learned from the above work-package activities to be published on the web by the end of February 2011.
