Projects

Research is crucial to developing our understanding and knowledge at post-graduate degree level, and improving professional practice.

The CIS Studies staff have undertaken research and evaluation projects across the natural, heritage, cultural and museum sectors.

Current projects include:

The use of mobile phone technology in delivering interpretation

The CIS is working with Lochaber Geopark to pilot and evaluate the use of mobile phone technology in delivering public information and interpretation. The site is a unique geological landscape that is protected and managed through UNESCO’s new Geopark designation to provide a rich educational and recreational resource. Its remote rural location makes it a particular challenge for interpretation.
