The Centre for Interpretation Studies attends a number of events throughout the year.  Highlights of recent key events include:

 
Museums and Heritage Show, 7-8 May 2008, Earl’s Court, London

The Museums and Heritage Show is the UK's leading trade exhibition for the world of museums, galleries and heritage visitor attractions.

 

This year the show included more than 30 free seminar sessions, plus two free drop-in advice surgeries focusing on Design and Interpretation and Collections Management. The 2009 show will take place on 13 and 14 May.

 

National Association for Interpretation (NAI) International Conference, 6-10 May 2009, Athens, Greece

The National Association for Interpretation (NAI) hosted the fourth annual international conference on heritage interpretation in Athens, Greece. The conference brought together delegates from around the world for professional development and networking opportunities. This capacity-building network allowed the exchange of ideas and facilitated working partnerships between nations with established interpretive organisations and developing nations that need assistance with the promotion and instigation of interpretive facilities to enhance tourism experiences, benefit local economies, and sustain sensitive cultural and natural heritage resources.
