Disability and Equality

This section provides information about Perth College UHI's policies, procedures, and support for disabled people, including information about accessibility of major buildings and services.

Disability Policies

Perth College UHI welcomes applications from people who have visual, hearing or motor impairments, specific learning disabilities and/or difficulties, or any medical or psychological impairment and who require additional support, advice or guidance. We recognise that everyone has a right to equality of opportunity in education and a positive environment in which to study, to achieve qualifications and to make progress towards employment in their chosen profession.

Accessibility of buildings and services
Perth College UHI has undertaken considerable work to ensure that our premises are accessible to people with disabilities in line with the Disability Discrimination Act. Lifts are available in both the Goodlyburn and Brahan buildings. Car parking spaces close to both College buildings on the main campus can be reserved on request.

Strategies

Perth College UHI's strategy for improving support for disabled people is incorporated within our Equal Opportunity Strategy and Disability Equality Scheme. We have also formed a Perth College UHI Disability, Equality Forum to strengthen our information and consultation in relation to disability and equality.
