An excellent foundation for a career in the aviation industry, specifically in aircraft maintenance. You will develop the skills and knowledge required in the field of aeronautical engineering, as well as other engineering skills relevant to modern technicians or engineers within a wide range of technology related industries.

You study
You will have the chance to study a range of subjects including aeronautical fundamentals; aircraft flight systems; aircraft construction; aircraft engines; aircraft hydraulics; engineering computing; electrical fundamentals and workshop skills.
Getting started
You will be invited to discuss your application with us, but previous study of Maths, Physics or Technology Studies and English at Standard or Ordinary Grade would be an advantage.

Progression at Perth College UHI
You can use this course as the basis for progression to HNC/HND Aircraft Engineering or HNC Engineering Systems at Perth College UHI. You may then carry your studies all the way throughto a BEng Honours degree in Aircraft Engineering.
Careers and Training
This course includes an SQA Engineering group award, which may allow you to transfer to engineering or other related disciplines. It also fulfils part of the educational requirements for modern apprenticeships.
