Sam had completed a Hairdressing taster course while at school and showed so much promise that she progressed directly into Level 2 of the industry-recognised NVQ course. She is now enjoying the College environment and getting to know new people.
“It’s totally different to school; you meet new people that are not the same age as you and are treated more like an adult. I have grown up more and am now more confident, although I’m only 16!
The most useful thing I’ve learnt is teambuilding. You’ve got to be able to work as a team and get on with people. I’ve really enjoyed being here. At first I don’t know if I would but now I’m getting into.
Sam has big plans for her future, and plans to travel and work on cruise ships when she completes her course.
