Got Feedback?

We are currently seeking feedback on our Equal Opportunities Strategy and the changes we should make to this document.

You can download it from our Equality and Diversity pages or get it from Lee Ryan, Perth College UHI's HR Manager. Please contact us if you would like a copy in an alternative format.

Our Equal Opportunities Strategy was produced some time ago and contains a number of appendices. We feel this makes the document lengthy. As part of the review, we are proposing to remove the appendices and have these as separate documents. Do you think this would be a good idea?

We see the strategy as presenting the over-arching framework for our equality, diversity and inclusion activities, supported by our equality schemes and other documents and action plans. We want the strategy to be a document which people use - how might we make this happen? How do we make this a document which people want to read and apply?

We would like to see all 'diversity strands' covered by the strategy, as legislation has moved on since we first produced it.   We would welcome views as to whether to extend our strategy to include all strands. We would also like to know if we should include other aspects, such as social class. What should we include? How do we ensure appropriate attention across all strands or areas?

This is very much the start of a 'work in progress' and we'd be delighted to have your views, on these questions or on any other points you feel are important to help shape our strategy. If you would like to make any comments or suggestions, please contact Lee Ryan using the following details.

We look forward to hearing from you.
